Toshiba Satellite L300-20D Laptop 15.4 inch comes with Intel Celeron T1600 1.66 GHz, 1 GB RAM, 160 GB HDD, and Vista Home Basic. The Satellite L300 is an affordable laptop that comes with the reassurance of Toshiba’s well known quality. Everyday computing tasks are no problem at all with Intel processors, a SuperMulti DVD drive and 15.4 inch TruBrite widescreen. Built in WiFi wireless technology, modem and Ethernet port provide a wide range of connection options to the internet or home network. Selected models feature a webcam integrated into the chassis, ideal for video calls, and has face recognition technology which allows easy logon to Windows.

Happy with the laptop but not impressed that the MacAfee turned out to be a 30 day free trial. That is just a sales pitch for me but for others I guess it eases the installation. Personally I just uninstalled it and replaced it with Norton 360 for which I had a spare licence. Very straightforward though and whilst it took a while creating back-up disks and updating the Vista OS it all ran smoothly and without issue.

At the price my first impressions are good, not the greatest screen I’ve seen but a good value PC from a well-known brand.

Best part was the swift delivery service from Amazon.
